These Rules were created by Pheasantfoot, Autumnleaf from The Forest of Secrets, and Moonshimmer from Clans of Old. They may not be reproduced or copied in any way, shape, or form without their permission. This permission may be obtained by emailing Pheasantfoot at imbriparakeet@earthlink.net
and credit for them must be given in the form of this message.
Thank you!
These are just general rules for being on the site:
First off, before anything else, DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON THIS SITE UNLESS YOU HAVE READ AT LEAST THREE BOOKS FROM THE Warriors Series by Erin Hunter. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE TOTALLY LOST ON THIS SITE, AND YOU WILL MAKE IT HARDER FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY IT. Please do not just make an account and forget about it. I will be doing regular cleanup in the members, and delete inactive accounts. If you are going on vacation, be sure to post it in announcements.
General Rules:
-No mean comments - anyone making racist, sexist, or other comments like that will be banned without any warning.
-No chat speaking period. Speak in full sentences with reasonably correct punctuation and grammar, especially when role-playing.
-Respect other members, especially admins. They can ban you from the site.
-Please do not argue. You can argue with other people through PM, but don't bother us on the boards.
-You are limited to one account. If we discover that you have more than one, we will notify you about it, and delete it within three days.
Posting:
-The 'General' category is the only place you are going to be posting out of character topics. These things may include discussions of the books, things in real life, or other topics. The territory we have created is used strictly for role-playing. If we find you chatting out of character in the territory, your topics will be deleted.
-When you are role playing, each post must have at least three LINES, even when using dialogue. (Not three sentences, three lines on the page.)
-Use correct punctuation, spelling, grammar, etc. We don't mind little typos like TunderCan instead of ThunderClan, but if we cannot understand what you are trying to convey, you will be notified.
-No cussing- we will know if you have been using bad language, and we may suspend your membership.
-Try not to double post. They are annoying and take up way too much space. If we see a double post, we will delete the doubled post. (This also means that even if the posts are different, you should just combine them)
-When you are posting Out Of Character (OOC), you don't need to put OOC, you just need to make the post bold and put double ('s at both ends.
((Like this))
-NO POWERPLAYING!!! This means that you cannot RP another member's character! If you are caught doing this, you will be warned twice, and then you will be suspended for a period of time. If you continue to power-play even when warned not to, you will eventually be banned permanently. The only time power-playing is acceptable is in profiles, and when a member gives you permission to RP their cat/s.
-Make sure that you use the current weather that is posted under "Announcements" in your RPing (this is to keep the seasons and RPing consistent). Please don’t make an RP set in a sunny setting if the weather says that it is pouring rain.
Profiles:
-The name that you pick for your cat should not be too long, and it should make sense in the context that you are using it in (i.e.: your cats name should not be something like Flowerbadger, Squirrelwater, Chickenwind or Mountaintail) it also can't contain anything that the cats would not know about such as butter, daggers, pencils, etc.
-Except for loners, rogues, or kittypets, your cat's name cannot be a Twoleg name. (i.e.: do not name your cat Charlieheart, or Susantail. They just don't make sense.)
-If your cat is a kit, their name will end with 'kit' (i.e.: Bluekit). If your cat is an apprentice, its name should end with 'paw' (i.e.: Bluepaw). If your cat is a warrior, the ending part of its name will be something made up by you or the Clan Leader of the cat (i.e.: Bluefur, Bluesky, Blueflower, Bluefrost, etc.). If your cat becomes leader, its name will end in 'star' (i.e.: Bluestar).
-Except for Kit, Apprentice, and Leader names, you cat is NOT allowed to have the same name as a cat in either of the Warriors series. (So, you can't name your cat Fireheart, Ferncloud, Graystripe, Mistyfoot, Crowfeather, Leafpool, etc.) We MIGHT make exceptions if the name is very common; like Stonefur, Mosspelt, Ashfur, or Blackfoot. That is up to us to decide; ask us and we will tell you if you can use a name.
-There is no Maximum yet of How many Cats you can have. (This May Change)
-If there are too many cats in one clan, nobody will be allowed to create any more cats in that clan until the four clans are pretty much equal.
-The same goes for ranks. Ex.: if there are ten kits in a clan and two warriors, you will not be allowed to make another kit until there are enough warriors (this applies to any rank, we want to make sure that everything is equal.
-When you are posting your profile, and you use the names of other cats that do not exist in your RP example, you must either create profiles for them or add them to StarClan (if they are dead).
-If we find there is something wrong with your profile, we will tell you what we want you to fix. If these changes are not made within one month, the profile will be deleted. BE PUNCTUAL ABOUT FIXING YOUR PROFILES!!!
-Scince there are no Sub-boards or anything that say the name of the Clan and stuff I (Sparrowstar) want you to put The Clan in the title (Ex: Sparrowstar - ThunderClan)
About ranks (of your characters):
-Kits can leave the nursery at three moons, but they become apprentices when they are at least six moons and there is a mentor available. If no mentor is available when a kit turns six moons, they will remain a kit until a mentor is free.
-Clan leaders choose the mentor/apprentice combo. You may pm them with a suggestion, but it is their decision in the end.
-No cat can announce that they have had a prophetic dream unless StarClan (one of the admins) has sent that specific cat a PM with a prophetic dream. If you have any suggestions for prophecies/plots, pm Sparrowstar, or Sleetstar.
-Leaders have to end their name with 'star', apprentices with 'paw' and kits with 'kit'.
-When a cat becomes an elder, they may change their name. This is not required, but can be fun. Clan leader chooses the elder's new name, but the elders can make a suggestion. Again, the leader has the final say in what the name is. A cat becomes an elder at 200 moons. They can join sooner if their they have a problem like failing eyesight.
-Cats (in this RP) live approximately 240 moons naturally. They may die sooner, but if they live their life out and are not killed by sickness or violence, that is the approximate age of their death.
About Mates:
-Your cat does not have to have a mate
-If your cat has a mate, that mate must be of the opposite gender
-The mate must be one of your cats, except if you have gotten permission from another member for your cat to be their cat's mate
-Your cat must be a warrior or older to have a mate, and/or to have kits
-If you want to have a mate for your cat that is in another clan or is a loner, rogue, or kittypet, you must talk to an admin first and get their permission.
-Please, no graphic mating or birthing scenes. This is a site open to children, and some parents might not find a scene such as that appropriate. (fighting and healing scenes may be graphic, though)
-Medicine cats are allowed to have mates, but female medicine cats are not allowed to have kits. (they can be in love with another cat, but no babies!) Male medicine cats, however are allowed to father kits.
-Female Leaders may not have kits. Female deputies must surrender their position and have an admin's approval to do so if they are interested in having kits. Male leaders and deputies may father kits.
About territory:
-There will be no battles over territory unless the two Clan leaders have agreed to it. (there must be a reasonable cause for the battle)
